The Melrose is set in the centre of Sheringham, one of the busiest seaside resorts in Norfolk, and is situated just 22 miles north of the historic city of Norwich, England.

Just five miles away is the town of Cromer which is famous for its pier, and of course those well known Cromer Crabs!

We are a family run business that offers excellent all year round accommodation in a relaxed and homely atmosphere.

Sheringham also boasts a blue flag award for its clean beaches.

Sheringham also boasts a Championship Golf Course, many pubs, exquisite restaurants, Theatres and many other places of local interest.

Why not take a journey back through time? Sheringham is a beautiful little town full of Victorian and Edwardian architecture. It is a town full of history.

You could start your journey by taking a ride on the famous North Norfolk Steam Railway. The trains run along the coast from Sheringham, through Weybourne and onto Holt, (another historic town, well worth a visit). You can sit back, relax and take in the scenery.

By Coach
Travelling to and from North Norfolk is easy with National Express. Daily express coach services link Cromer, Sheringham, East and West Runton, Holt and Fakenham with London offering simple connections with other National Express coach services from destinations across the Midlands, Wales, the South West and Southern England. Coach travel already offers exceptional value for money when compared with many of the alternatives. However, booking your coach tickets more than seven days in advance will mean you pay even less for your holiday travel. Taking the coach means that you can leave the car in the garage and you don't have to worry about the long drive home at the end of your holiday. A No Smoking policy is now in force on all National Express coaches giving you a cleaner environment in which to travel. Coaches set down in Cromer Bus Station and in the centre of the towns and villages served along the route. National Express Railways operates a regular local service between Norwich and Sheringham, and a fast and frequent InterCity service from London to Norwich. All InterCity trains offer both standard and first class accommodation, and most services include full restaurant and buffet car facilities. For visitors from the midlands and north-west, Regional Railways Central provide an hourly service to Norwich from Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham and Peterborough with good connections from Birmingham and Leicester. All services are operated by modern air-conditioned Class 158 trains.
